Bot
Buster can be run on a wide variety of web servers
and platforms, but was designed to work best on a
Unix/Linux type server. Bot Buster currently requires:
 |
Unix/Linux
style operating system. Bot Buster has been tested
and known to run on Linux 2.0.36, Free BSD 3.1
and Cobalt Linux 2.0.34 and newer. Bot Buster
has not been tested in any Windows based environment
and is, therefore, neither guaranteed nor supported
within Windows based servers. |
 |
Perl
version 5.004 or newer. |
 |
Must
be able to create cron jobs (crontab access) |
 |
Apache
web server version 1.2.6 or newer. |
 |
Must
have the ability to modify file permissions. |
 |
Must
be able to use .htaccess files supporting the
directive types FileInfo, Limit and Options. |
 |
To
enable support for advanced bot detection Apache
must have the module mod_rewrite installed and
enabled. |
If
you are unsure whether your server allows all of the
above, no problem. One of our experienced experts
will be glad to determine if your server meets the
basic requirements.
Bot
Buster has been tested and known to run properly on
the recently popular Cobalt
RAQ Servers, but there are performance issues
on this type of server when doing so. If you are considering
using a RAQ server with Bot Buster please contact
us before placing your order.
In
order for the Bot Buster Crew to install Bot Buster
on your server the above requirements must be met.
If for any reason we are unable to get Bot Buster
running on a server that does meet the above requirements
we will happily refund the purchase and/or help you
locate a host provider that does support Bot Buster.
